Innovation District Mobility Dashboard

As part of our research and development efforts in shaping the Be’er Sheva Innovation District, we set out to better understand the mobility patterns that define how people interact with the district. Key questions guided our investigation: When do visitors arrive? Where do they come from? And how do they get here?

To gain insights into these questions, we collaborated with Adalya, to obtain a comprehensive dataset based on aggregated cellular mobility data. This dataset represents the movements of the majority of visitors to the Innovation District over a defined period, offering us a rich, anonymized view of real-world human behavior at scale.

By analyzing this data, we aim to uncover temporal and spatial patterns of activity—identifying peak visitation hours, primary points of origin, and dominant modes of transportation. These insights not only help inform planning and infrastructure decisions but also support our broader goal of designing urban environments that are more accessible, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of their users.
